Ben confused and amused by Eli- " Mom, do you know what Eli said?"
Me tired, "hard to say."
" He said he has a dream channel and at night he just puts on a channel and that's what he dreams."

Elijah ordering a hamburger at Cracker Barrell, " A cheeseburger with no pickles and no shrimp."

"Mom, I didn't sleep good last night because Eli kept crying."
"Eli, why were you crying last night?"
"Because I couldn't change my dream channel."

"Elijah, whatcha' doin'?" I ask bravely.
"I was in my room playing until I heard that chocolate out here screamin' my name."
While I have no idea where he comes up with this stuff, by his recent one liner there certainly is no denying that he is my child. What, you've never heard a Mr. Goodbar talk?

"Mom, can we be done now?" "My smile is starting to hurt my lips."-Eli

"If we didn't have Daddy, I would marry you."-Eli

When I asked Elijah if he could whistle he said," No, but I can burp."

"Man, I've been having such a blast these last few days, ice sledding and playing war every night!"- Ben

"Hey Mom, which would you rather have, your arm cut off or your head?"-Ben

"Hey Mom, you know why you should never eat sand?"
"Because that would be really gross, Benjamin."
"No, I mean besides gross."
"No, why should I never eat sand?"
"Because I saw on Animal Planet that a boy ate sand that a cat or dog pooped in and the poop had these little worms inside it, and the worms got in the boy's body and the worms came out his eyeballs, that's why you should never eat sand."

After Mabel gave birth to her kittens, I was downstairs with Eli petting the new babies and all he had to say was, "Mom, just don't look at her butt."
Thanks Eli.

Eli had been hit in his private and was trying to recover, crying and catching his breath, I heard him say," It feels like my wiener is barely hanging on." I reassured him, like any good mom.

''This is going to be a very special night for me."-Elijah
"Why's that?"- me
"Because Ben's not going to be home so I can finally go to sleep without him bothern' me."

The new rule in our house is everyone six and over can wear boxers.-Elijah

When I returned home from the meat market I opened the box of ribs to start preparing them for Mother's day. Eli came in the kitchen took one look and said," Ahh, glorious ribs."

Grandpa was trying to teach Sammy manners so as he was about to go off and get Sam a piece of cake he asked,"What do you say?" Sammy not exactly picking up on the manners thing just yet, answered,"I want cake." Plain as day.

Ben asks," I wonder what model corvette I will get?"
I answer," A 2065 "
What, he'll be 65 before he knows it.
